Please Keep Her Healthy

Bailey has pneumonia now. She's miserable! She's having trouble breathing, her o2 sats are lower than usual, but still not bad, and she's either crying or sleeping. We're just keeping an eye on her to see if a hospital stay is necessary. I'd really like to keep her out of the hospital, but she's almost to the point where I'm not comfortable having her home. We have a pulse ox here so we'll be able to keep an eye on her. Needless to say, tomorrows surgery has been postponed.
Aubrey is wild today! So, that hasn't helped matters. I took her with us to Bailey's appointments with the doctor, and to get prescriptions filled, and it was almost a nightmare.

Bladder Infection AND Cold!

Bailey has a cold now. We just have to try to get her better before her surgery on Friday. Her eye surgery will be sometime after noon on Friday, and we'll hopefully be home later that day.
Bailey's pediatrician called today and her urine culture came back positive, so her bladder infection isn't clear yet. We go back next Friday and they'll cath her again. That is such a horrible process to see her go through. She tolerates shots better than a cath. She'll have a VCUG at the end of February to determine her she's refluxing urine into the kidneys.
Aubrey seems to be feeling better. She still has a cough, but her activity level isn't suffering. Now let's see if Keith and I can stay healthy!

Running, Running, Running

Well I thought I would update sooner, but things have been quite hectic. We've had activities, doctor appointments, and I've had interviews. The company that purchased my company was nice enough to close our stores during the holidays, so I've been unemployed. It hasn't been fun! It's just a little reminder of how business works.
So, Bailey is doing a bit better. She had another urinalysis on Friday and we should have the culture results on Monday. She will be having eye surgery at All Children's Hospital on Friday February 1st. This will be eye muscle surgery, and will hopefully correct some of her crossing. We've been told that if this isn't corrected she could have some vision problems, which she may have anyway.
Aubrey is also doing okay. She is battling a cold right now, and doesn't seem to be improving much. She's still full of energy. I guess that's part of being 2. Please pray that Bailey stays healthy for her surgery as we don't need her getting sick too.
I hope everyone is doing well, and I'll update soon.

My Sickly Children, But Mommy I went Potty in my Potty!

Hello again. Well we were just one day away from a check-up with the pediatrician and Bailey decides to get sick, so we spent the day in the ER. She slept most of the weekend and her temp was 102. She is doing okay, but she does have a bladder infection. The doctor expects her fever to last most of the week. We follow-up tomorrow with her pediatrician.
Aubrey is still doing very well. She was sick and running a fever on Saturday, but now she's a wild 2 year old. Potty training has been quite successful, and we're SO excited.
I'll update more tomorrow.

It's a New Year

Happy New Year!
Bailey is still doing very well. We have an appointment scheduled next week to get more information on her eye surgery. She really seems to be doing very well. She says mamama and bababa all the time. I have a feeling she's going to be a talker like her big sis. We also had her oxygen picked up today. It's nice to finally have a room for her that doesn't look like a hospital room.
Aubrey is also doing very well. We went to gymnastics and it was great to see her have so much fun. She really seemed to enjoy herself.
Keith and I spent a lot of time this weekend with the girls. We went to the park on Saturday, and took Aubrey out on Sunday to play at a local arcade/fun center.
I hope all is well for everyone.
